Layers are essential for Maine. Be prepared for anything from chilly to hot temperatures—sometimes in the same day! Summer is usually warm (occasionally hot), but it can also be cool, especially in the evening or out on the water.

While exact dates can vary based on the year, late July and early August is Maine wild blueberry season! Wild blueberries grow in many places all over Maine, and especially around Acadia and Downeast. You'll be glad you packed reusable baggies or containers for hikes!
